Your safety is very important to us, please be advise how you can increase it by few simple emphasis.
It is very important to be alert and pay attention to what is happening around you and prepare to your trip and activities.

Meeting new people

Meeting new people is always great and it’s important part of any trip.
Remember, this meeting also can create potential risks.

Meet new people in the application:

– Don’t give any financial information – credit card, bank information.

– Beware of people who ask for your address/hotel, send unknown links.

– Abusive, harassing and offensive messages, you can report them in the application.

Face to face meeting:

– Try to know the person before the meeting – chat, phone talk.

– Tell your friend that you are going to meet someone- who, where, when and time you are coming back.

– Always meet in a public place.

– Don’t take a ride to the meeting with the one you meet.

– Use common sense, if it doesn’t feel right – go away.

– Make sure to be in control – beware of alcohol and other drugs that can hurt your clarity.

General safety aspects

1. Insurance – purchase travel insurance (medical and baggage), make sure it’s appropriate to the nature of your trip (extreme, hiking, sport…).
2. Vaccinations – Check the relevant vaccinations for the destination you are traveling to.
3. Medical conditions – Ensure your health by preliminary visit at the dentist and doctor.
4. First Aid Kit – Remember to pack all your medicine, take the original package and description to prove the legal consumption. Take first aid kit with you for basic situations.
5. Documents – Make photocopies/scans of all important documents.
6. Money – Don’t show big amount it in public, put your money in more than one bag.
7. Embassy – Find out in advance where the embassy is located at your destination, write down the phone number for emergencies.
8. Equipment – put your valuables in a safe when they are not with you. Be sure to close and lock your bag when not in your sight.
9. Environment – make sure what are the potential risks in your environment, unsafe hours and locations to walk in.
10. Mosquitoes – always use replant and long cloth when visiting location with mosquitoes (especially when there is malaria danger). Use mosquito net if possible.
11. Drink – Brush your teeth with clean water. Don’t put ice cubes in a drink. Use only bottles in location when tap water are not recommended. Keep on drinking water in your activities.
12, Food – Eat in places where there is a high turnover of food and the chance of a fresh-food higher. If possible make sure that the cooking is done in a clean environment. Avoid eating eggs, meat, chicken or fish, half cooked or raw. Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly before eating.
13.Stay in the sun – Use sunscreen and don’t stay too long in the sun. Be familiar with that the sun’s rays reflected also in a very strong snow and ice. Use sunglasses and hat. take breaks to prevent dehydration.

1. Trekking:

– Test your equipment – check that you have the proper equipment and test in in real hike.

– Learn your capability in advance – check what is in your possible carry on weight and your real capabilities

– Use your walking shoes prior to the trip.

– Learn how to pack the bag in an efficient and economical place.

– Always check the weather before leaving – respect the forces of nature and to prepare with proper cloth.

– find out and gather extensive information in advance about the trek.

– Never go out trekking alone.

– It is recommended to keep a friend or relative in as much detail as possible about your plans, times and route.

– Always made sure to take proper equipment such as food, water, rain jacket / sun protection, first aid kit, map, a lighter …

– Do not short circuit through dangerous places, go marked or paved roads.

– Treks in high places – it is important to know about altitude sickness and it’s symptoms . Rise gradually in height, while adapting to the heights. If the symptoms begin inform your partners and decide about descent to lower place.

– When going to bungee jumping, rafting, scuba diving, parachuting, etc. you need to be prepared.

– Try to receive recommendation about the business your are going to.

– Make sure that a business license and insurance is valid.

– If you are familiar with the special equipment, perform self test.

– Check about special activities extreme insurance.

– Sometimes, cheap companies do not keep a close eye on safety regulations.

– Be aware of your limitations, including medical, and follow the activity in accordance with it.
